The Problem

Returns Are A Black Box

You know returns cost money. You don't know exactly which SKUs, which markets, or which decisions are costing the most.

You don't know your true return cost

The label cost is visible. The handling cost, restocking time, grading cost, secondary-channel loss, and customer service overhead from a return? Invisible. The real cost per return is often 2–3× what you think.

Routing decisions are manual

Which returned items go back to stock? Which go to B-channel? Which need refurbishment first? In most operations, a warehouse team member decides — inconsistently, without margin data. That inconsistency costs you.

No data to drive better product decisions

Returns contain the most honest feedback your customers will ever give you. Wrong size? Defective after 3 uses? Didn't match the photos? Most brands never see this data at the SKU level. That feedback should be driving your next buy.

Multi-market complexity multiplies the problem

A 3% return rate in Germany looks fine. The same SKU at 14% in France? A product fit issue that shows up only in certain markets — and you don't see it until you look at returns by country and product side by side.

Returns Intelligence

Four Modules. One Unified View.

Returns Intelligence is built around the four things that matter most: visibility, routing, recovery, and feedback loops back to your buying and product team.

Returns Intelligence dashboard — real-time visibility into e-commerce returns by market, SKU and reason
Module 1

Live Returns Dashboard

Every return flowing through your network, visible in one place. Filter by country, SKU, return reason, fulfillment hub, and time period. See your return rate, recovery rate, and average cost per return — live, not in last month's report.

  • Returns by market, product, channel, and carrier
  • Return reason breakdown (wrong size, defective, changed mind)
  • Grading outcomes: A/B/C/D per SKU per hub
  • Refund speed tracking — customer wait time per return path
Returns routing engine — automated disposition rules based on margin and product data
Module 2

Automated Routing Engine

Define your margin rules once. The platform routes every returned item automatically — no manual decision required. A-grade fashion item in NL? Back to stock within 24h. Same item in Italy with 8 uses? Routes to refurb queue. High-value electronics that fail inspection? Routed to certified recycling with traceability record.

  • Rule-based routing: resell, refurbish, donate, recycle
  • Margin-weighted decision engine per product category
  • Automated triggers: refund, restock, B-stock listing
  • Full audit trail per item — dispute-ready documentation
Circular commerce analytics — tracking returns recovery and resale margin across European markets
Module 3

Circular Commerce Analytics

Track the full lifecycle of every returned product — from original sale to final disposition. Know exactly how much margin you recovered on each item. See which products have the highest recovery potential and optimise your buying and pricing strategy accordingly.

  • Net margin per SKU after returns (first sale + recovery)
  • Recovery rate by product category and market
  • B-stock and resale performance tracking
  • Carbon footprint per disposition path (for ESG reporting)
Returns Intelligence integrations — connects to Shopify, WooCommerce, Zendesk, Gorgias and your 3PL
Module 4

Feedback Loop to Buying & Product

The most valuable output of Returns Intelligence isn't the recovery rate — it's the data that improves your next product buy. Which SKUs have a return rate above 15%? Which reasons are most common for each? This data, surfaced weekly to your buying team, cuts future return rates at the source.

  • Weekly product-level returns report for your buying team
  • Return reason clustering by SKU and category
  • Sizing and fit anomaly detection across markets
  • Direct export to your buying / ERP system
Flexibility

Works Standalone.
Works Better Integrated.

Returns Intelligence is designed to connect to your existing operations — whatever 3PL, WMS, or fulfillment setup you currently use. You don't need to switch to Salesupply operations to use the intelligence layer.

That said, if you use Salesupply for fulfillment and returns operations, the platform becomes significantly more powerful — routing decisions execute automatically within the same system, with no API layer in between.

Standalone mode

Connect via API to your existing 3PL and WMS. Visibility and analytics on top of any returns operation. Works with any fulfillment partner.

Integrated mode

Full integration with Salesupply operations. Routing rules execute at the hub — no middleware, no latency, no manual handoffs.

Salesupply returns processing — professional grading, routing and circular commerce operations

Early Access

Who Should Join The Waitlist?

Early access is designed for e-commerce brands that already take returns seriously — and want to get ahead of the curve before competitors start using returns data as a competitive advantage.

✓ Brands processing 3,000+ returns/month

At this volume, a 10% improvement in recovery rate or routing efficiency is worth hundreds of thousands of euros annually.

✓ Brands selling in 2+ European markets

Multi-market returns create complexity that requires cross-country data. The platform is specifically designed for this.

✓ Brands in fashion, electronics, or home

Categories with high return rates and high recovery potential benefit most from intelligent routing and lifecycle analytics.

✓ Brands with sustainability commitments

ESG reporting increasingly requires product lifecycle data. Returns Intelligence provides granular disposition and carbon data per item.

FAQ

Returns Intelligence Questions

Do I need to use Salesupply for fulfillment or customer service to use Returns Intelligence?
No. Returns Intelligence is designed as a standalone product that connects to your existing fulfillment and CS setup via API. You can use it with any 3PL, WMS, or returns management provider. If you also use Salesupply's operations services, the integration is tighter and routing can execute automatically within our network — but this is not required.
What e-commerce platforms does it integrate with?
At launch, native connectors will be available for Shopify, Shopify Plus, WooCommerce, and Magento. BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce, and SAP are planned for the general availability release. Custom integrations via REST API are available for any platform. We also plan integrations with major CS platforms (Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gorgias) for returns-driven ticket data.
What is the pricing model?
Pricing is in development and will be based on monthly return volume processed through the platform. Early access participants will receive preferential pricing for the first 12 months post-launch. We'll share pricing details with waitlist members before the early access program opens.
When will Returns Intelligence launch?
Early access is targeted for H2 2026. General availability is planned for 2027. The timeline may accelerate depending on the outcome of Salesupply's 2026 fundraising round. Waitlist members will be notified first.
Is this different from Salesupply's existing returns management service?
Yes. Salesupply's existing returns management service is an operational service — we physically handle your returns at our hubs. Returns Intelligence is a SaaS product — it provides data, visibility, analytics, and routing automation. You can use both together (operational service + intelligence layer) or just the intelligence layer on its own. The two products complement each other but are sold separately.
What data do I need to provide to get started?
You'll need to connect your e-commerce platform (for order and return data) and your fulfillment or returns processing partner (for grading and disposition data). We also recommend connecting your CS platform to capture return-related ticket data. Onboarding is designed to take less than 1 week for standard integrations.

Don't Wait for General Availability.

Early access brands will have a 12-month head start building returns intelligence into their operations strategy. Join the waitlist now.
